Since 2007, InnoPet has grown into a leading brand in pet mobility. From our main office in Nieuwegein, The Netherlands we provide pet stores and retail customers throughout Europe with dog prams, bike trailers and other mobility products.
We offer extensive service. Flexibility, transparency and solving challenges: that’s what we stand for. We think it is important that customers and users know what they can expect from us and that they can rely on us.
But what we find most important? The love between people and animals. That’s why we only offer high-quality products, optimal comfort and safety. All our products enable you to go outside again with your pet. No limitations, just possibilities. And we have been creating these possibilities for more than 15 years.
From market stall to market leader
InnoPet is a family business. From generation to generation we develop the best products in pet mobility, but always with the same focus on the customer and quality. This is our story.
1981
How the family business started
More than 40 years ago, InnoPet-founder André Maijer took over the market stall from his father. The first Maijer generation sold pet supplies at markets throughout the Netherlands. His son André continued the market sale and that is how the family business was founded.
He provided weekly returning customers with their needs and above all with a smile on their faces, by chatting with them or simply asking ‘how are you doing’? He knew many of his customers by name and they always liked to return to him. He even regularly brought the ordered products to his customers’ home. The customer is always right, that has always been important for him
2007
Introduction of the dog pram
During his years on the market, André noticed more and more dogs having difficulty walking, for example due to age, diseases or surgery. He had to do something about it. A pet should be able to go outside, right?
After a lot of research André found the solution. A pram, for dogs. André knew for sure: this will help many families. Together with his wife Corinne, he brought the dog pram to the Netherlands. In 2007, they introduced it on the DiBeVo fair and the InnoPet brand was born.
2016
Joining forces
In the years that followed, André and Corinne sold many dog strollers. In 2007, one of the first Belgian customers, Ann de Clerq, decided to start selling the product in her pet shop. She also noticed that customers visited her store without their dog and realized she was missing something.
She became so convinced of the product and the InnoPet mission that Ann and André joined forces in 2016.
2022
The third generation
At the end of 2019, the third Maijer generation, Sven Maijer, joined the family business. In 2022 Sven officially became CEO of the company. He is leading the InnoPet team that currently consists of six persons. In the last years InnoPet has grown into the best-known brand in Europe for pet mobility. Our product range consists of dog prams, trolleys, bike trailers, ramps and travel bags. InnoPet supplies its products to retailers and pet shops throughout Europe and the United Kingdom. This makes InnoPet the market leader in many of these countries.

In the following years, we will continue to go all-in to make sure people and animals enjoy each other longer. We innovate our products and continue to explore new markets. In addition, we take and support initiatives that contribute to our mission. After all, our mission is only completed when all dogs can go outside carefree, together with their owner. We’re bringing back happiness!
