Easy 3 ingredient dog ice cream recipe

Do you want to treat your dog to an ice cream on hot summer days? You can get dog ice creams at some ice cream parlours these days. There are also dog ice cream kits for sale at pet shops. But of course, you can also make yummy frozen treats yourself!

Easy 3 ingredient dog ice cream recipe

You can whip up this super easy dog ice cream recipe in no time. You probably already have the ingredients!
(You can fill 2 ice cream moulds with the recipe below)

What do you need:
  • 1 banana*
  • 2 tablespoons of yoghurt*
  • some peanut butter*
  • ice cream mould (or anything else you can use as a mould such as a plastic cup a teaspoon as a stick)
    a bowl and a fork
Instructions
  1. Coat the inside of the ice cream mould with a layer of peanut butter and place in the freezer so that the peanut butter firms up.
  2. Using a fork, mash a banana in a bowl.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of yoghurt to the mashed banana and mix together.
  4. Now take the ice cream mould out of the freezer and fill the mould with the banana/yoghurt mixture.
  5. Place the stick of your ice cream mould into your ice lollies and put the mould in the freezer.
  6. Leave in the freezer for at least 4 hours or all night.
  7. Once your dog ice cream pops are completely frozen, it’s time for your dog to enjoy!

You can offer the same ice pop several times to you pup, if it’s a bit much for them. Simply pop the ice back in the freezer.

*If you are not sure if your dog likes these ingredients, or can tolerate them, let them taste a little bit of all the ingredients beforehand or ask your vet.
